Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe. -Gail Devers
Vision is the ability to think about or plan the future using your imagination with a bit of wisdom. It is a creative process where we hone in on what we want for ourselves for the coming year. Wisdom comes in with truly knowing ourselves: our skill set, the amount of time we have, the commitment we are willing to make. So, it is about being able to visualize how we want to improve our lives and what does that actually look like on paper.
Your vision board is your visual reminder of your intentions for the coming year expressed through pictures, words, phrases and images. A vision board becomes a self-portrait for your heart’s desires longing to be fulfilled. Do you already have a personal vision? If so than it won’t be difficult to put it on the page. If you are unsure then you need to get quite and be honest with yourself about those heart desires that you can work towards during the next twelve months.
Any blank canvas will do for your backdrop: poster-board, copy paper, construction paper, cardboard, etc. Old magazines are great places to search for images and words. Your computer can show you other resources like Pinterest or different fonts in your word processing program. Then you need a pair of scissors to cut out what you want to tape or glue down on your canvas. So easy you could get your kids involved to create their own vision board.
Success is the consequence of putting the work to make your vision come to light. Your values, goals, and dreams that come from the authentic part of your soul is creating a better you for the New Year!
